A man has been arrested in Enugu for allegedly raping an orphan at gun point.
A middle-aged man, Casmir Eze, has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command for allegedly raping a 15-year-old orphan at gun point on May 22, 2016.

Eze, according to reports in Southern News, had sneaked into the compound of the victim, a Senior Secondary School (SSS1) student identified as Ogechi, at about 2am on the day of the incident, by scaling the fence and forced the victim to open the door or risked being shot.
The suspect who had allegedly covered his face with a scarf to disguise himself, then broke into the room and pointed a gun at the terrified victim and ordered her to turn off the lantern in th room before forcefully tearing her clothes and raping her.
In the morning, the teenager reported the rape to her relations who reported th rape to the police who arrested some young men in the community and in the course of their investigations, the identity of the suspect was revealed and he was arrested.

In his confessional statement, the suspect confirmed that he actually raped the girl but maintained that it was the devil that pushed him into the act.
"I dont know what came over me although, I have been targeting how to get the girl since and when I could not get her, I had to come through this way."
