Investigations into the mummified body of German adventurer, Manfred Fritz Bajorat which was found inside a damaged 12-metre vessel drifting by off the coast of Barobo in Surigao del Sur, Philippines has commenced
His remains were found tilted next to the radio telephone as though he was aiming to initiate a call before passing away.
Christopher Rivas, 23, from Barobo, found the yacht as he was fishing and alerted authorities of his sighting before more findings were made.
According to the Daily Mail, the sailor had travelled with his wife, Claudia, in the past but they broke up in 2008 and she later died from cancer aged 53.
A touching memorial written by the sailor to his wife after she had died is the only thing that remains from the world he left behind, the publication reports.
"Thirty years we're been together on the same path," the memorial said.
"Then the power of the demons was stronger than the will to live.
"You're gone. May your soul find its peace. Your Manfred."
Inside the yacht, photo albums, clothes, tin food, a GPS and other valuable items were all discovered scattered inside the yacht, but according to Inspector Mark Navales, the man’s wallet was not found, Yahoo News reports.
The nature of his death is still being investigated, but reports already has it that he died of natural means based on his position at the time of death and the condition of the yacht.

Dr Mark Benecke, a forensic criminologist in the German city of Cologne, told BILD newspaper: “The way he is sitting seems to indicate that death was unexpected, perhaps from a heart attack.”
Bajorat's acquaintance, identified only as Dieter said, “I don’t believe he would have sailed into a storm,”
“I believe the mast broke after Manfred was already dead.”
Meanwhile, the German embassy in the Philippine capital, Manila, has been notified and is now working on locating Bajorat’s family.
