A young female student is battling for her life after an armed robber shot her in the eye for calling the name of Jesus.
Doctors at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), are battling to save the eyesight of Esther Oteri, a 19-year-old Ordinary National Diploma (OND), student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, in the state, after she was shot in the left eye by a member of an armed robbery gang during an operation in a dry cleaner's office where she had gone to collect her matriculation gown.

The girl who was preparing for her matriculation the following day, according to reports, was shocked when the gunmen stormed the place and out of fear, screamed the name of Jesus Christ which apparently got the hoodlum mad and he shot her in the face, piercing her left eye, before going ahead to dispossess her of her phone and other valuables as she battled for life.
