Three old men have been arrested for luring a mentally challenged girl into a room and gang-raped her.
A 70-year-old man grandfather in Alismie area of Agbor in Delta State, Pa Paul Ogwe, has been arrested by the State Police Command, for allegedly conniving with two other men to rape a 15-year-old girl.
It was gathered that Ogwe and his accomplices, Ability Ogwu, 65 and Kenneth Okoro, 58, had conspired between themselves and lured the girl into a room belonging to Ogwe and took turns to have carnal knowledge.
The trio were allegedly caught in the act by a relative of the victim, Patricia Oroyelu, having sex with the girl.
The victim is said to have some mental health challenges and the men took advantage of this to rape her.
The victim's mother, Mrs. Loveth Oroyelu, who said the suspects had carried out the act on several occasions, lodged the complaint with the police upon which they were arrested.
The State Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO], Celestina Kalu, confirmed the arrest of the men, stating that investigation into the case is ongoing.
