D-NO continued to write and perform his own songs, developing his own distinct style of music with an emphasis on rap and conscious lyrics. His mother, Adesuwa Onyenokwe is a renowned journalist, magazine publisher and TV presenter in Nigeria. She has been a big influence on his work particularly addressing issues of common concern in ways others couldn't through his music.
Together with Bonafide and Laolu Ogun, D-NO is set to make a return. He released a street single, "I'm Back" in December 2012 and this is his first official single, "Burkina Faso" featuring Bonafide Crew member, Deolu Solar and produced by Bamzy.
Burkina Faso incites a movement for social change in Africa. Partly due to D-NO's heritage and his university course, he felt a desire to use his music not only to entertain people but to spread the right messages to raise awareness of the continued degradation that grips the continent. He plans to release a compilation called, Conflicted, due for release in the early part of 2013. Follow him @dno_07 or @team_bonafide.
