Ten long years after her husband died, a Nigerian woman is still yet to come to terms with the fact that he is no more.
10 years after the death of her husband and father of her two kids, a Nigerian woman, Mrs. Rose Akinlabi is still yet to come to terms with the fact that he is no more.
Mrs. Akinlabi, a staff of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria [FAAN], took to her Facebook page to recount the life and times of her late husband, Emmanuel Oyelade Akinlabi, who died in 2017, leaving her with the two children to cater for.

Tracing his roots, Mrs. Akinlabi posted this very touching eulogy on her wall:
"This year makes it 10 years since you left me and the children without giving us any notice. In those 10 years, we have missed you so much; your presence was so calming and coming into my life was the best thing to ever happen to me.
My darling husband, Mr. Emmanuel Oyelade Akinlabi, how can I ever forget your love, your care, your simpleness and your towering presence in our lives?
I want to use this opportunity to let you know that you still remain in my heart even though you are no more.
Emmanuel Oyelade Akinlabi was born on April 26, 1951, in the ancient town of Oyo in Oyo State. He was born into the family of Amos Akintola Akinlabi, a reputable Headmaster, of Oniloba Compound, Isapa-Ijeru Quarters, Ogbomoso.
His mother was from Ilusimi Compound, Ashipa, Oyo town. His maternal grandmother was from Oluobinu, Oke Afin, Oyo town.
He started his elementary school at District Council School, Laguna, Oyo State, in 1959 where his late father was the head teacher.
He completed his primary school education at District Council School, Agede, Kishi, Oyo State, in 1964, where he obtained his Primary Six School Leaving Certificate with flying colours.
Thereafter, he attended Methodist Secondary Modern School, Arowomole, Ogbomoso, between 1965 and 1967, where he obtained his Secondary Modern Three Certificate.
He was admitted into Government Trade Centre, Oyo town, where he specialized in Vehicle Body Building [VVB] between 1968 and 1970.
He also attended a lot of courses in and outside Nigeria which earned him rapid promotions in his places of work.
He was a member of The Institute of Engineers & Technicians, London, England; Association of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees, among others before his demise.
Mr. Akinlabi worked in several places including General Metal Products [GMP], Lagos, before joining Cadbury Nigeria PLC in 1977 where he served in several departments, rising through the ranks to the position of a Senior Manager before his retirement in 2004.
Daddy, it is exactly 10 years ago that you left this world of sorrow and sin; in life, we loved you dearly; in death, we still do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories; your love shall always be our guide. Although we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain shall link again.
We love you and miss you every other day. Your lovely children, Amos Babatunde and Boluwatife Akinlabi, the Olaniyis, Kehinde Akinlabi and the family miss you so very much.
Rest in peace daddy, till we meet to part no more.
