The Liberian President who is on a state visit to Imo State has been conferred with the highest chieftaincy title in the land.
The President of Liberia, Mrs. Ellen Sirleaf Johnson who is on a state visit to Imo State on the invitation of Governor Rochas Okorocha is now one of the very few individuals to bag the highest title in the state.
According to Eastern Heartland News, Gov. Okorocha mandated the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers to honour Mrs. Johnson with the Chieftaincy title of 'Ada Di Oha Nma', literally meaning a 'daughter that is pleasing to all and sundry'.

The title, according to those who are steeped in the Igbo Tradition, is the highest title ever given to a woman, much less a foreigner.
The Chairman of the Council, Eze Samuel Ohiri, who presided over the ceremony at the Eze Imo Palace, said the decision to confer the title on the visiting President was in consideration of her outstanding contributions to the restoration of peace in her country and the African sub-region.
According to Eze Ohiri, conferring the title on the Liberian leader was a way encouraging her and other African women who have contributed to the development of Africa, especially the education of indigent African children.
This title conferment on Mr.s Johnson is coming a few weeks after there was public outrage following that of the South African President, Jacob Zuma who visited the state and was conferred with the title of Ochiaga Imo, another powerful title meaning the Chief Warrior of Imo land.

Gov. Okorocha went ahead to unveil the statue of Zuma as well as name a street after him and according to information, the statue of Mrs. Johnson will also be unveiled today while a street will also be named after her in the state.
However, the people of the state are not happy with what their Governor is doing with the state funds as workers have not been paid for several months while he goes about spending billions of Naira on hosting foreign leaders and building statues in their honour.
