This movie producer, Niyi Akinmolayan, believes the Bible is just a story book

A notable Nollywood filmmaker has added his voice to the tithing and offering debate, concluding that God does not need anyone's money.

A renowned Nollywood actor and film producer, Niyi Akinmolayan, has thrown his hat into the raging debate about giving of tithes and offerings in churches by saying that the instruction in the Bible mandating Christians to give their tithes is mere fiction.

Akinmolayan who seems to take sides with controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze who has been constantly berating men of God who urge their members to pay tithes and offerings, added that the Bible is a mere 'fictitious old Jewish storybook'  which humans love analyzing.

The filmmaker also said that God does not need anyone's money since human beings invented money and as such, there is no way God will be interested in taking what men created.

Here him:

“When I was a teenager, my pastor told us if anyone gave us a gift, we should find out the price in Naira and pay the equivalent as tithe.

How can God need money when humans invented it?"

Akinmolayan also took a swipe at Bible verses which seems to contradict themselves:

“I don’t know why I should regard Malachi 3 on tithes and disregard Malachi 1 on sacrifices and Malachi 2 on divorce.. smh.

Africans, if I put up a post for child education in Africa I wouldn’t get anything oh. See thesis analyzing an old Jewish book.

The best religious conversation I’ve ever had was with a babalawo, an educated priest in traditional religion. He didn't have a book to fall on.”

It seems these days, the debate on tithing, offerings, and seeds is getting really heated with many standing for it and others equally against it.

Where do you stand?
