A female member of the National Youth Service Corps scheme has reportedly died in mysterious circumstances few days after reporting to an orientation camp.
A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Bayelsa State has died in what can only be described as strange circumstances as she was said to have vomited and bled to death.
Leadership reports that the deceased who has been identified as Elechi Chiyerum, only arrived at the orientation camp in the Kaima community of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state, a few hours before she developed the strange ailment that claimed her life.

Chiyerum who was a 27-year old graduate of the Ignatius Azuru University of Education, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, was confirmed dead five days after arriving the camp.
Other corps members who confirmed the incident, said the deceased who arrived the camp on Thursday, November 24, 2016, looked seriously sick and could not participate in some opening sessions at the camp.
Officials of the NYSC in the state, Chiyerum’s death might have been as a result of the non-disclosure of the state of health by the deceased.

It was also learned that a search on her hostel section showed signs of excessive bleeding with clothing and sanitary pads soaked in blood.
