A flooded street in Abia State

Residents of Abia State are crying out over the deplorable state of roads in Aba, the commercial nerve center of the state.

Despite concerted efforts by media minders of the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, to convince all and sundry that the state is working and has now achieved a cosmopolitan status, residents swear that parts of the state are still in shamble.

According to a Twitter user with the handle @adanne_a, some of the roads in Aba, the commercial capital of the state is still in deplorable conditions as the roads are still unmotorable, especially when it rains.

Before now, Aba was noted as one of the most dirtiest cities in the country with filth and litter taking over the streets while street traders compete for space with dirt and debris.

But the media officers of the governor have been painting a picture of a mega city capable of comparing with any in the world.

But with the pictures posted by the twitter user, it seems all those photos of development posted on social media have been nothing but a scam.

A recent downpour has exposed the state as still being the way it used to be.
