An arrested suspect in the kidnap of four Lagos State landlords has told the police that he was busy enjoying his share of the ransom money when he was arrested by the police.
One of the suspects arrested for allegedly kidnapping four landlords at the Lekki Gardens Estate, Isheri North area of Lagos State, James Kegbe, also known as JJ, has told the police that he was enjoying his share of the ransom money when the police swooped and arrested him.

Kegbe, an indigene of Ondo State, according to the police, was among the gang that kidnapped the landlords and their physical trainer while they were on a morning exercise routine and demanded a whopping demanded N300 million for each of them before they would be released.
But a few days after the victims were rescued, Kegbe, the 38-year-old native of Arogbo town in Ondo, was arrested by members of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team in Ore town.
While confessing to the police, Kegbe said he was given the sum of N1.2 million as his share from the total ransom of N12 million the families of the victims were able to pay and he was on a spending spree when the police nabbed him.
A police source says the suspect was painting the town of Ore red, throwing parties and spending on women, when he was arrested.

Kegbe mentioned some of his gang members who are still on the run as Julius, Victor, Trust, Senior Man, John and Prince.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified efforts to nab the fleeing suspect.
