Family continues birthday celebrations following the tragic death of a 3-year-old toddler knocked down by a vehicle.
A family has revealed the tragic death of a three-year-old toddler on her birthday after she ran into the road and got knocked down by an oncoming vehicle.

The victim, Jayda Handy, was killed at about 2pm yesterday, August 6, 2016, while she ran to meet her grandfather near North 84th and West Marion streets in Milwaukee.
She was immediately rushed to a children's hospital where she later died.
Fox 6 reports that the birthday party had continued after her death, as her family believes that was what the tot would have wanted.
Family and friends from the area gathered together to celebrate the life of little Jayda who had touched everyone she met.
The father of the victim, Jaylen Handy told Fox 6:
"It's just still unreal to me that this happened. She was just here preparing for her party all morning... She saw her granddad, she ran over there....
"She was just a happy baby. Always happy. Always happy. Everybody loved her... everybody is going to miss her. She had an impact on everybody."
The police revealed that the driver of the car which had killed little Jayda, had stayed stayed after the accident and had been totally cooperative, helping with the investigation.

So far, there has been no citations as the driver is believed to have been driving within the limits of the law.
