The rangers at the Yankari National Park which is located in Bauchi State, reportedly arrested another poacher last night.
The poacher later identified as Ibrahim Yusuf, was reportedly caught red-handed with a gun as he prepared to make a kill at the park.
The reports also reveal that the suspect had once been found wandering along the Ahmadu Bello Way inside the reserve two months ago, but had later been released after it had been discovered that he was not in possession of any weapons.
Yusuf's arrest comes on the heels of the arrest of two notorious poachers identified as Bala Garba and Halilu Adamu, yesterday, July 3, 2016.
The game reserve, which was introduced in 1956, has seen recent mismanagement and lack of funding that has turned it to a shadow of itself.
