The female preacher who was murdered by Islamic fundamentalists in Abuja was actually buried on a day she was planning to celebrate her birthday.
When Deaconess Eunice Mojisola Olawale, the female preacher who was murdered while doing her early morning call to worship in the Kubwa area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Saturday, July 23, 2016, not many people know that the day was supposed to be her birthday.

According to a family member who disclosed this, the family decided to send Olawale home on a day she had been planning to celebrate with family, friends and church members.
At the graveside at the Gudu Cemetery, the Pastor in charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), FCT Region 10, where the deceased worshipped, Emmanuel Ibitayo, described her as a martyr and the church will forever celebrate her life and efforts to propagate the gospel.
Preaching on the topic, “Let me die the death of the righteous,” Ibitayo said Olawale ended her journey well and that was why the church and family decided to send her home on her special day.

He bereaved husband, Pastor Olawale Elisha, while extolling the virtues of his late wife, said regretted not being there to rescue her when the hoodlums were stoning her to death.
"I thank God for the way the government and body of Christ took up the case. She was a warrior who fought a good fight and my happiness is that she is right now sitting in the right hand of God."
