The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Yamu, while parading the suspect, said Agayo confessed that he had gone to a native doctor to find out the cause of his problems and was told that his mother was responsible.

On getting home, he asked her to restore his manhood but when the mother told him she did not know what he was talking about, Agayo dashed into his room, brought out the gun and shot her to death.

He also allegedly claimed that he was misled by a friend who told him that his problem would only be solved if he killed his mother since she had been identified as the cause of his predicament.

The killer son also told journalists during his parade:

“I went to consult the oracle over my impotence and I was told that my mother used my manhood for witchcraft and rendered me impotent.

She did not want me to be a man. So my friend advised me to kill her so as to use her blood to acquire spiritual powers that will help me become rich and also do many other things.”

But when he was asked if his potency had been restored after killing his mother, Agayo broke down in tears and added:

“My manhood has refused to work after I killed my mother.”

Yamu said the boy would be charged to court for murder after the police conclude its investigations.
