The event which had reportedly taken place on May 8, 2016, as part of a breastfeeding 'flashmob' in celebration of mother's day, saw myriad reactions from the men involved.
The photos from the event show most of the men grimacing in pain while experiencing child birthing pains while their partners watched in amusement.
The event had been aimed at raising awareness on the importance of breastfeeding, and this is hardly the first time that the men of China have been made to get insight into the crucial topic.
Some of the men are also pictured breastfeeding their fake babies, while others simulate labour on hospital beds, gripping the bars to help alleviate their pains.
News reports reveal that Aima Maternity hospital in Shandong province had offered free sessions twice a week in 2014, that allowed expectant dads to experience the pain of childbirth, brought about by stimulation pads attached to a device placed above the abdomen which gives the wearer bursts of pain as a nurse increases the intensity on a scale of one to ten.
