A 16-year-old girl has been sentenced to prison by an Abuja Court for stabbing her boyfriend with a broken bottle.
A 16-year-old girl whose identified was not disclosed due to her age, has been sentenced to three-months in prison by an Abuja Grade 1 Area Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, one Kingsley Emeaghara, with a broken bottle during a fight.
The teenager who lives in Byazhin, in the Kubwa area of the FCT, according to prosecutor, Abba Zurumi, had stabbed Emeaghara of Phase 2, Site 1, inflicting a deep cut on him.
The case was reported on May 9, at the Kubwa Police Station and the accused was arrested and charged to court, where she pleaded guilty to the charge, prompting the judge, Mohammed Marafa, to convict her under Section 247 of the Penal Code, with an option of N10,000 fine.
