The Deputy Governor of Borno State with the grass

Some wicked workers were nabbed while using grass and weeds to prepare food for internally displaced persons in Borno State.

It was a revelation of wickedness of the highest order when the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Usman Mamman Durkwa, paid an unscheduled visit to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in the state where he caught the workers allegedly using grass to prepare food for the inmates.

The disappointed Durkwa was said to be shocked and lost for words as he sought for explanation from the workers but they could not offer any. Durkwa was especially miffed that despite the huge amount of money the government give to managers of the IDPs to cater for the inmates, they could resort to such abuse of the very people they are meant to take care of.
