A church elder in Zimbabwe charged with raping 12-year-old niece said he wanted to feel what sex with a child is like.
A church elder who is standing trial at a Masvingo Regional Court in Zimbabwe, Edwin Marecha, for allegedly raping his 12-year-old niece, sent the court into rapturous laughter when he begged for mercy and said he wanted to feel what it was to have sex with a child, I-Harare reports.

The 57-year-old Marecha, a pastoral elder of the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ), was alleged to have brutally defiled the girl at his home in Jaravani village in Gutu after his wife had gone to the bore hole to fetch some water.
While pleading for mercy as a first offender, Marecha told the court:
“I can confirm that I called her in the kitchen when my wife had gone to the bore hole. I forced her to sleep on the floor and removed her pants then I had sex with her.
I did not enjoy the act as I expected because my manhood did not penetrate her small private parts. I continued until I ejaculated.”

But the judge did not take his plea as he was ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending when he will be sentenced.
