PM News reports that Maduakor had bought petrol and kept it inside his house on Tope Oluwasun street, Igando area of the state,  after the caretaker informed him that he was coming to collect arrears of rent he owed his landlord, with the intention of dousing Madueke and setting him ablaze.

It was gathered that Maduakor was owing arrears of rent which prompted the landlord, Lewis Nwankwo, to drag him to court for ejection but however, the court ruled that the landlord did not serve him the quit notice properly as the tenant was paying yearly rent and as such, was entitled to six months notice instead of the one month notice given to him by the landlord.

But the caretaker insisted that he would recover the arrears of rents despite the fact that Maduakor was given fresh notice to pack out of the house.
