Singles Ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lagos Mainland Conference is poised towards improving the lives of adult youth; academically, financially, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and other wise. In 2013, singles from Lagos State and beyond gathered to discuss issues affecting our relationship with God and ourselves in a state wide conference organised by Singles Ministry in Lagos Mainland Conference, Lagos State. This event was tagged SINGLES UPLOAD “get connected” 2013. To the Glory of God almost 500 delagates were in attendance. One major lesson worthy of note is that young adults in Nigeria need to be better enterpreneurs, hence this YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CONVENTION, organized by Singles Ministry in Lagos and Ogun States. The theme for this year is Singles Upload “GET EMPOWERED”; a skills acquisition programme aimed at creating structures that will aid young people irrespective of their educational background to become responsible members of the society.
This exciting event will begin on Thursday, September 11, 2014 and it will end on Sunday, September 14, 2014; at NYSC Orientation Camp, Shagamu, Ogun State. We are expecting over 1000 (one thousand) delegates.
Singles Upload “get empowered” is aimed at creating an atmosphere for SME Skill empowerment such as: Bridal Design, Fashion and Style, Paint manufacture, Interior decoration and design, Baking, Soap making, Event Management, Barbing and Hair dressing etc, not excluding Soft Skills such as: Resume presentation and interview etiquettes, Public speaking and carriage, Brand promotion, and investment opportunity for corporate bodies; We also have seminars for Website design, Microsoft office suite, Social media advertising, E-commerce etc.
