After pleading guilty to the crime, the court sentenced Abiodun to a 2-month community service, though his accomplice is still at large.
A 19-year old man, Rahmon Abiodun, has been sentenced to two months community service, after he confessed to stealing a phone.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Abiodun pleaded guilty to stealing and conspiracy.
Insp. George Nwosu, who is the prosecutor said the accused, who reportedly had an accomplice, committed the crime on July 12, 2016.

It was stated that Abiodun stole a Tecno phone in Dopemu, at the Agege area of Lagos.
"The accused and his accomplice entered the complainant's shop under the guise of buying food stuff and stole the phone. "
"The accused distracted the complainant and his accomplice took the phone and they both took to their heeds.
"She raised an alarm and they caught the accused, but his accomplice escaped with the cell phone."
Nwosu also told the court that the crime went against sections 285 and 409 of the Lagos State Criminal Law. Section
